Former Centennials Captain Cam Brodie Resigns with ECHL’s Stockton Thunder:

D Cam Brodie, who played 19 games with the Centennials as their captain during the 2008-09 season, has resigned for another season with Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, and head coach Matt Thomas announced today that the team has signed defensemen Dan Ringwald and Cameron Brodie.

Brodie skated in 60 games for the Thunder as a rookie last season, scoring two goals, totaling 12 points (2g-10a) and posting 51 penalty minutes. His +7 rating was third among Thunder rookies. The White Rock, British Columbia native previously appeared in 12 games for the University of British Columbia (CWUAA) in 2009-10, scoring two goals, adding an assist and 22 penalty minutes.

His five year (2004-09) experience in junior hockey was spent in the British Columbia Hockey League with Surrey, Langley, Trail Smoke, Vernon and Merritt, totaling 63 points (15g-48a) from the blueline in 224 career games while posting 375 penalty minutes.
