Team White won the annual Centennials intrasquad game 4-2 over Team Red on Wednesday night at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.
Red opened the scoring at 4:43 of the first period on a goal by Bennett Huber (94). They took a 2-0 lead at the 5:06 mark of the second period with Cents veteran Sean Maktaak (92) scoring unassisted.
David Sabey (91) from Jacob Taylor (95) and Dominic Centis (93) got White on the board at 9:20 of the second, but Red still held a 2-1 advantage heading into the final period.
Regan Soquila (93) from Jakob Reichert (93) and Richard Sabourin (92) knotted the game for Team White just 33 seconds in the third period and Merrittonian Payton Schaefer (93) gave White the lead at 6:37. Taylor drew his second assist of the night on Schaefer’s marker.
Blake Roney (93) provided the insurance for White with a goal at the 7:52 mark with an assist to Dylan Playfair (92).
Tyler Steel (93) got the win for Team White while Lino Chimienti (91) took the loss for Red. Jared Knott (92) and Phoenix Logan-Hill (94) also tended goal for Team Red. Sky Buller (92) started the game for White before giving way to Steel midway through the second period.
Healthy scratches for the game included Steve Wall (91), Billy Marshall (91), Brandon Pfeil (92) and Dustin Lebrun (92).
