Game Day – Cents @ Warriors Preview:


Merritt, BC – September 3, 2011

The Merritt Centennials look to improve to 2-0 on the 2011 BCHL pre-season as they head to West Kelowna to face the Westside Warriors.

Tonight’s game is the second of six games in 16 games for the Centennials. They are home next Friday against SFU before hosting the RBC Cup finalist Vernon Vipers next Saturday. Merritt finishes off with a home-and-home against Chilliwack on Friday, September 16th at Prospera Centre and host the Chiefs on Saturday, September 17th.

The Cents are coming off a 5-3 win over Prince George Friday night in 100 Mile House where they scored twice in the first and third periods. Richard Sabourin led the attack with two goals while Tyler Martin and Brendan Lamont added singles.

Merritt sends a veteran forward group to Westside along with a relatively young blueline and its two returning goalies.
