The Powell River Kings have had a history of success with players from Ontario and they hope that trend continues with their latest acquisition, which is dated May 24th on the BCHL transactions page.
The Kings have acquired F Robbie Murden (92) from the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots of the OJHL for future considerations.
As the roster stands now, the addition of Murden gives Powell River one too many 20-year-old players, but there’s lots of time between now and September 7th for Kent Lewis to sort that out.
As for Murden, he’s averaged 1.24 points-per-game in the OJHL, so if he adjusts quickly to the BCHL game, the Kings have likely added another highly skilled offensive weapon into their arsenal.
The deal hasn’t been confirmed by either team but as I mentioned above, it is listed on the BCHL website.
To Powell River:
F Robbie Murden (92)
