Cowichan Valley-North Bay Trade:

I wrote in the last post about how Cowichan Valley is reshaping its defence and Jim Ingram continued to do that with a trade that is actually dated before the trade with Dauphin.

The Capitals acquired former Coquitlam affiliate player D Djordje Leposavic (92) from the NOJHL’s North Bay Trappers for future considerations.

Leposavic had a breakout year offensively in 2011-12, with point totals far and away better than anything he has ever posted since starting his junior career three years ago. Cowichan is obviously hoping that last season wasn’t just an aberration and that the New Westminster product can add some offensive punch to its blueline.

This deal hasn’t been confirmed on either team’s website, but it is posted on the BCHL website, so here’s how it breaks down.
