Coquitlam-Carleton Place Trade:

The Coquitlam Express added experience to their blueline with the addition of 20-year-old Mike Maciag from the Carleton Place Canadians of the Central Canada Hockey League for future considerations.

Not a whole lot is known about Maciag other than he’s an American playing his third season of junior hockey with designs on earning an NCAA scholarship for next season (a pretty safe assumption when assessing most junior A players). With the BCHL and the Express’ track record, I would think that there will be plenty of exposure to scouts for the Plymouth, Michigan native.

There’s been no official release on the Express website, but Eddie Gregory has more on the deal from the Coquitlam side on his blog: http://expressvoice.blogspot.ca/2012/11/wheeling-and-dealing-defence.html
