Vernon Vipers GM and Head Coach Jason Williamson made a move Wednesday to not only help solve his glut of returnees, but also 20-year-old players on his roster for 2013-14.
The Vipers traded defenseman Geoff Crisfield (93) to the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Spruce Grove Saints in exchange for future considerations. The trade still leaves Vernon with Jason Bird, Liam Board, Brendan Persley, Ryan Renz, Braeden Russell, Josh Bryan, Austin Smith and Colton Sparrow as its 1993-born players heading into this season, which is still one more than is allowed under BCHL rules.
