West Kelowna – Swan Valley Trade:

The West Kelowna Warriors had a glut of veteran junior goaltenders in training camp and they made a move on Tuesday to alleviate that glut by trading 20-year-old Cole Holowenko to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s Swan Valley Stampeders for future considerations.
Holowenko didn’t play junior ‘A’ hockey in 2012-13, starting the season with the WHL’s Everett Silvertips before signing with the QMJHL’s Moncton Wildcats after Everett released the Penticton native. His last junior ‘A’ game was a playoff loss to Vernon while with the Warriors back on March 15, 2011.
Neither team has officially released anything about the trade, but it is posted on both “Transactions” pages for the BCHL and the MJHL.
