Littler Writes Column on Wild Joining the BCHL, Spruce Kings Add Ontario Recruit:

Wenatchee Wild GM and Head Coach Bliss Littler pens a column for the website occasionally and his most recent one highlights the team’s acceptance as an expansion franchise into the BCHL. It answers a number of questions about junior A hockey in Canada and the BCHL’s rules. You can catch the article here.

Prince George added a first year player to its roster on Thursday, but it’s a player who is entering his 20-year-old season. Coming to the Spruce Kings is defenseman Adam Brubacher. The 19-year-old from Toronto has spent the last three seasons playing junior B hockey in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Elmira Sugar Kings. In 146 games with Elmira, Brubacher has amassed 90 points (23 goals, 67 assists) in the regular season and 22 points (two goals, 20 assists) in 29 playoff games. He was the Southern Ontario Junior C Hockey League rookie of the year in 2011-12.

Forward Carter Rigby (Penticton, 2010-11) has committed to the University of Prince Edward Island for this September. The Penticton native spent the last four seasons in the WHL, mostly with Kelowna, but he also played 55 games this past season in Swift Current. After the Broncos season ended in March, Rigby played four games in the ECHL with Stockton, adding three assists. He’s been invited to attend the Minnesota Wild’s Prospect Camp this summer.
